1992 BOSTON Whaler Harpoon 17' 5.2 sail boat, motor & trailer. The last time I sailed was Memorial Day, 1998. I bought the boat 7/12/1992. I sanded & put a fresh coat of varnish on all wood surfaces. Since that time when not sailing, the boat has been under a tarp in my back yard. I have reduced the original $2,000 asking price because the following work on the boat needs to be done:
1) All the woodwork needs sanding & a fresh coat of varnish.
2) The 4HP motor was purchased new 9/11/93. It has less than 50 hrs. running time. It hasn't ran since 1998. It needs a new spark plug, cleaning of the gasoline tank, fuel line & carburetor.
3) The trailer has new wheels & tires, but some rollers need to be replaced.
4) Rigging: standing rigging is stainless steel & is OK. However, running rigging (sail hoist halyards & sheets) may need to be replaced. For these reasons I'm reducing the price to $1500; BO. (Motor: $200; Trailer $300; Sail boat $1000). Includes boat, main sail, jib, rudder, built-in retractable centerboard, mast, boom, and closable automatic underway bailers.
